An excellent kit thrives on its specifications and the possibilities it offers you as a model-maker. This anniversary edition has been designed to provide you with a perfect balance between a construction challenge and pure modelling enjoyment. The parts are cleanly moulded, show hardly any flash and can be assembled superbly using standard plastic model glue. Particularly noteworthy is the eponymous ‘Special Decoration’. This is an exclusive decal sheet (wet decals) designed specifically for this occasion and featuring markings not found on standard models. Let’s take a detailed look at the key highlights that make this model a real must-have for your collection: 1:35 scale: This is the undisputed king of scales in military model-making. It offers the perfect size for realistically depicting intricate details such as rivets, weld seams or tool mounts, without the model taking up too much space in your display cabinet. 212 precision-crafted components: This number of components guarantees hours of modelling fun. It’s complex enough to offer you a rewarding challenge, but not so overwhelming as to cause frustration. Every step in the assembly instructions brings visible progress. Exclusive anniversary decals: The ‘40th Anniversary Special Decoration’ gives your model a unique finish. Thanks to their ultra-thin backing film, the high-quality decals fit seamlessly over contours and joints, ensuring an extremely realistic look. Authentic surface textures: Whether it’s the anti-slip coating on the hull, the fine grille covers on the engine or the textured track links – the surfaces are designed to look extremely three-dimensional and lifelike after treatment with washes and drybrushing. Movable turret and gun: Once completed, your model is not completely rigid. The Leopard 2A4’s distinctive, angular turret can be rotated, and the elevation of the main gun can be individually adjusted, giving you plenty of flexibility when displaying it.
